This chart lists every fraction from halves to sixteenths with its decimal and percent. Type a fraction, decimal or percent to jump to it (or the closest match), sort the chart from smallest to largest, or print it. For any other fraction, divide the top by the bottom, or use the Fraction to Decimal Calculator.
Every row in the chart comes from one division
A Few to Memorize
Learn these and you can build most of the chart in your head by multiplying.
Quarters
1/4 = 0.25. Count up in 0.25s: 2/4 = 0.5, 3/4 = 0.75.
Eighths
1/8 = 0.125, half of a quarter. 3/8 = 0.375, 5/8 = 0.625, 7/8 = 0.875.
Thirds
1/3 = 0.333… and 2/3 = 0.666…. Sixths are half of these: 1/6 = 0.1666….
Fifths
1/5 = 0.2, so fifths go up in 0.2s: 2/5 = 0.4, 3/5 = 0.6, 4/5 = 0.8.
Inch Fractions to Decimals and mm
Tape measures and drill bits use sixteenths of an inch. One inch is exactly 25.4 mm.
